ABOUT THE CHOIR

The choir is a registered charity run by an active and dedicated voluntary committee.

We are grateful for the continued support of our president Sir David Lumsden.

Promote the choral tradition by involving the community in making music at all levels.

 Offer quality performances of the classic repertoire and encourage modern composers by performing newer lesser-known works.

 Involve young people by encouraging them to join Southwell Junior Choral and participate in performances.

We meet for Choir Practice:

 

                 Monday Nights during School Term time at

                             The Minster School,

                             Nottingham Road

 

Time:                  7.30 PM to 9.15 PM

We are proud to be a community choir. You are invited to come and join us irrespective of your knowledge of music or ability to perform. We do not have auditions believing everyone has the right to make music. You are guaranteed a warm welcome. Subscriptions are payable Annually at the first meeting in September. Currently these are:

Adult:               £90.00

Concession:  £80.00

Junior:             £ Free

Concessions are for people over 60 who are not gainfully employed.

Junior membership includes anyone in full-time education or under 21 and unemployed.

If unsure, please ask.

It is possible to accommodate those who are unable to be there for all concerts. Please ask for details.
