ANNUAL SOUTHWELL CHORAL SOCIETY MUSIC BURSARY&   

PEGGY OLDHAM AWARD

Each year Southwell Choral Society invites applications for two awards, each of £300, from young people who are currently studying music. The awards are often combined to create one prize of £600. There is no limit to what constitutes music - it can be playing an instrument, singing, percussion or composition. Submissions are judged by a multi-faceted panel and the decision is based on a majority verdict.

The applicants must be under the age of 25 by the end of June in the award year.

No restraint is put on the use the award is put to but it is hoped that it will help towards furthering the career of the recipient by defraying the costs of travel, tuition fees or a new instrument.
